So, one of the biggest questions that I get asked is “why we are tapping on the negative?”
My answer is “because it’s there”.
So many of us have been trained to only focus on the positive, so many of us have been trained through the law of attraction to just focus on the positive. When you focus on the positive everything will go your way and you get exactly what you want.
Well, how’s that working for you? It’s probably not working a 100% all the time or you won’t even been watching this video, right?
It’s not working because you’re not acknowledging the crap; you’re not acknowledging the negative. See our brains are hard- wired for negativity. Like the negative response is the very first one, and it is our job to retrain our brain and override that negative response with the positive one, but we can’t do it by ignoring it.
Think about this, you have been somewhere where you’ve seen somebody and you didn’t want to talk to them.
You didn’t want them to see you.
You didn’t want to be around them so you decided that you ignore them and pretend that they’re not there.
Do you know what?
They were still there even though you pretended it.
Now you have all this energy going on like pretending they’re not there, and there they are over there, but you’re pretending that there not. But they are there! Now just because you’re ignoring them doesn’t mean they don’t exist cause they still exist.
The same thing like if you have a bill comes in a mail. Say you don’t have enough money to pay for it you ignore it, you don’t open it up. Is the bill still there? YES it is. You still owe the money it didn’t go away because you ignore it. And in fact, it often makes it worse when you ignore it because now, now that you have that bill but now you probably have interest fee and the late fee tacked on it because you ignore it.
So ignoring it actually makes it worst and that’s true with your emotions too, and we weren’t taught like in elementary school or junior high Emotions 101 class. Nobody taught us how to process them and deal with them and so we learn to ignore them, stopped them, brush them aside, a pretend they didn’t exist and that doesn’t work and You Know It!
So I teach people to tap on the crap. We need to acknowledge the crap that’s there, and when we acknowledge it and we tap and acknowledge it, it will moved away, it will go and then we start to feel better.
You’ve heard before that message that the only way to get through it is to go through it you can’t go over it, round it, you can’t go under it, you have to go through it. Well that’s true with your emotions, too. You have to go through it. You have to feel them and experience them. And when you do that, they will shift and you’ll get the better feeling emotions that you wanted to begin with. That’s how it works. So when you’re tapping the best thing you can do, the fastest way that you can make shifts is by acknowledging those negatives emotions.
