Books for Business

There are tons and tons of business books available on all sorts of topics. One of the most important things to learn in business is if we don’t connect with others, it doesn’t matter how great our products and services are. These books are about connecting with others.

Attracting Perfect Customers by Stacey Hall & Jan Brogniez have a simple and easy planning process which I find helps me first get clarity about what I do want and then attracts it for me. It makes planning extra magical and fun!

Dare to Lead by Brene Brown has helped me become an even better leader by being more willing to step up and put myself out there. (All of Brene’s books have helped me become a better person).

Credit Card Processing

Square is a secure credit card processing company. I started using Square back when I made jewelry when they first came out. Their processing fees for debit and credit card purchases and for sending invoices are often lower than others.

Courses

Ready, Set, Gram is an awesome course to learn Instagram. The videos are so detailed and helpful and video updates are included for free.  Sue B Zimmerman and her team are fabulous at explaining and simplifying things. I upgraded to their Ready, Set, Gram Pro group coaching program and absolutely love the support I receive from Sue and her team.

Video Training courses by Tracy Phillips are the way to go. Doing lives on social media and recording videos for YouTube can be intimidating, but working with Tracy helped take the intimidation and fear out of it for me.  She showed me a system on how to create content and made it fun. I’ve taken a few courses with her and I highly recommend working with her if you plan to create any videos.

Graphic Design (create your own)

Canva is a super easy platform to make fabulous-looking graphics, documents, and so much more.  I’ve been using it for several years and upgraded to the Pro feature, so I could create my brand kit, including colors and fonts, have access to tons of templates, and has extra storage for my creations. They keep making it better and better with more easy-to-use features.

Newsletters/ Contact Management System

Mailchimp is the company I have been using to send out newsletters since I started my jewelry business back in the day. They are great for getting a small business started with their free plan. Now with my coaching business, I’ve found I can create opt-in pages, set up automated emails, and so much more that enables me to connect with peeps who are interested in learning more about tapping, my book, and my book-writing process.

Scheduling System

Acuity Scheduling is the online appointment system I use for setting up one-on-one coaching sessions as well as group tapping sessions. Their software is easy to use, and they continue to add awesome features to make this part of my business efficient. If you are just starting, you can start with the free version and later upgrade as your business needs grow.

Social Media Planning Platform

Planable simply put, is who I use to schedule my social media posts, but they are so much more than a scheduling system. Their system allows me to collaborate with my team to create, plan, review, approve, and publish content. Their system saves me from spreadsheets and going back and forth on email.

Transcription

Rev.com is a transcription service I used (and continue to use).  I recorded some of my stories for my book in Zoom and sent them in to get transcribed so I wouldn’t have to stare at a blank piece of paper every time I needed to write my next story.  I also use them to transcribe tapping and other videos to turn those into blogs for people who prefer to learn by reading.

Video Conferencing, Webinars

Zoom I started using Zoom back in 2017 (way before Covid-19 hit and everyone started using them) and love the quality of video connection. There are so many features available to conduct training, workshops, webinars, and even Live videos on social media platforms.  They have free and paid accounts. I have their Pro account and use it for my one-on-one coaching sessions as well as group workshops and team meetings.

The companies, products & services that share here are ones I buy from and believe in. Some of them like Amazon, Square, and Lemongrass Spa I have an affiliate relationship with, and some I don’t, which means when you purchase from them I receive a small percentage of the purchase price at no extra cost to you. Regardless, I only share with you companies I have used myself and support 100%.
